Kids Egg Run at Tanglewood
April 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This fun run for kids will have everyone giggling. Kids will run along our trails collecting as many eggs as they can with their hands and pockets (no baskets or backpacks!). The kids who bring back the most un-cracked eggs win prizes! Everyone gets candy.
Registration opens at 10am; the race begins at 11am. Registration is day-of only. Cash preferred. $5 each for kids ages 3-5; $10 each for kids ages 6-10.
Kids ages 3-5 will run along the Children’s Sensory Trail, collecting candy-filled plastic eggs.
Kids ages 6-10 will run a little further along our trails, collecting REAL uncooked eggs. 1st through 3rd prizes will be awarded to the three kids ages 6-10 who were able to safely carry the most eggs back to the finish line.
This event is WEATHER PERMITTING. In heavy rain or snow (we hope not…) then the event will be canceled by 9am.
Kids should expect to get a little messy on this fun run: trails may be muddy; eggs will crack; grass stains may be acquired on knees. Wear old clothes and get ready to have fun!
After the run, stick around to enjoy lunch and Wings’n’Things from 12-2pm! Meet our birds of prey, pet a rabbit and meet egg-laying animals, and learn about how to make your backyard a good place for nature.
